Karen is president and founder of Sensational Suppers. In her position, she oversees operations, marketing and franchise development. With 20 years as a family therapist she appreciates the need to reduce the stressors on families and envisions Sensational Suppers to be an extension of her role in "Social" services. Karen is a graduate of University of Toronto and the mother of an amazing 4 year old daughter.
Dean received his Masters Degree from the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at New York University. He obtained his Diploma in French Cooking from The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. Dean's travels have allowed him to train and work with food writers and cook book authors including James Beard, Foundation prize winning Authors James Peterson (Sauces, Soups, and Vegetable), Shirley King (Saucing the Fish and Fish the Basics) and Nick Malgieri (How to Bake, Chocolate, Great Italian Desserts).
While living in Toronto, Dean had the opportunity to work with two of Canada's top Chefs, Michael Bonacini (Jump, Canoe, Biff's and Steakfrite) and Martin Kouprie (Panagea).
In 1995 Dean opened the acclaimed Italian Bistro Incendio in Vancouver and her sister, Incendio West, in 2000. In 2005 Dean opened Stella's which was voted one of Vancouver's top new restaurants for that year. Dean has also appeared on numerous televised cooking shows including Breakfast Television, City Cooks, Karma Café and Global News. Dean brings his precision in management and his appreciation for great food, great service and great prices to Sensational Suppers. Dean lives in Vancouver with his two sons Zachary and Raf.
